Cleaning FAQ
How often should you clean your shoes and trainers?
Wipe everyday pairs down weekly and give them a proper deep clean every 2–3 months, or sooner if they're white, suede, or heavily worn. Treat stains and salt marks quickly, and deep clean valuable or designer pairs before storing or reselling.
A simple routine
For shoes and trainers in regular rotation, a quick brush or wipe once a week stops dirt building up and becoming ingrained. A full deep clean every two to three months keeps them looking their best and stops grime setting permanently.
Condition matters more than the calendar: white pairs, suede, and light colours show dirt fastest and benefit from more frequent attention, while dark leather can go longer between cleans.
Clean sooner when it counts
Deal with spills, salt marks, and mud quickly, the longer a stain sits, the harder it is to remove, especially on suede and nubuck. Winter salt stains on boots in particular should be treated before they set.
It's also worth a deep clean before you store a pair for a season, or before reselling, when a clean, authenticated pair is worth more to buyers. With Clean 'Em the £60 package includes that authentication check.
